Theme: The Most Holy Theotokos in the Teachings of the Church Fathers
Date: January 24, 2025 | Time: 12:00 PM (EST) | Location: Via Zoom
The Antiochian House of Studies Orthodox Academic Society (OAS) is pleased to announce its upcoming Winter Symposium, to be held online on January 24, 2026.
This symposium will explore the profound theme “The Most Holy Theotokos in the Teachings of the Church Fathers.”
About the Symposium
The OAS Winter Symposium serves as a platform for AHOS graduate students to present and discuss their academic work within the broader AHOS community.
The event will run for three hours and will include a series of 15-minute paper presentations followed by 10-minute question-and-answer sessions.
All AHOS students, alumni, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. Participation is free for OAS members, who will receive access to the Zoom session and have the opportunity to engage in the discussions.
Call for Papers
Graduate students enrolled in the MTS, MPCC, MDiv, DMin, and PhD programs are invited to submit papers for consideration.
While all papers written from an Orthodox perspective are welcome, preference will be given to those aligning with this year’s theme.
Submission Deadline: December 10, 2025
Papers should demonstrate sound theological research, academic rigor, and relevance to the symposium theme or to broader areas of Orthodox theological study.
How to Submit
Students may submit their papers and register for free OAS membership through the following link:
OAS – Next Symposium (AHOS account required)
Further details, including the final schedule and Zoom link, will be sent to registered OAS members in advance of the event.
